This is a roleplaying journal for the character Shatterstar, and is in no way affiliated with Marvel Comics or Bartek Borowiec.

SHATTERSTAR

History

AU Marvel Verse
Shatterstar was born on Mojoworld, a century in the future. He had no parents, as he was genetically engineered to be a slave in the gladiator arenas, and was trained in the arts of war from a very young age. He participated in combat staged for Mojo's television shows, and developed an intense sense of pride and honor in his status as a warrior in order to combat the death and violence in his life.

Eventually, he escaped the arenas and joined the Cadre Alliance, a rebel group that sought to overthrow the alien tyrant. They taught Shatterstar their language, then sent him back in time to Earth in order to recruit the X-Men to help them. Instead of finding the X-Men, though, Shatterstar found Cable and X-Force. Cable promised to help him against Mojo and, as there was no rush because of the time travel involved, Shatterstar decided to stay and help X-Force.

During his time on Earth, Shatterstar began to experience the memories of an Earthling named Benjamin Russell. He eventually located the man - who had been in a coma since his powers manifested - and with Longshot's help, he merged with Russell. Afterwards, he claimed to feel more "whole" than ever before, and he resumed his work with X-Force.

It eventually emerged that Shatterstar might be the son of Longshot and Dazzler, though everyone assumed that the child had been miscarried. Disturbed by the thought of having parents after spending his entire life thinking that he'd come from a gestation chamber, Shatterstar left X-Force and spent some time training in a monastery, then moved on to fight in the arenas on Madripoor.

Powers
Shatterstar possesses superhuman senses, strength, speed, agility, flexibility, dexterity, coordination, balance, and endurance. He is an excellent strategist and an accomplished martial artist and master swordsman. His bones are hollow, making him considerably lighter than he appears, and possesses enhanced learning capabilities. He is capable of regenerating damaged tissue at a faster than ordinary rate, and also of shifting his internal organs in order to avoid serious injury. He can also channel shock waves through his swords, though he prefers to rely on his own skills.
